SBIC Regulations Training Class
With comprehensive regulatory changes from 2023 now in effect, the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Regulations Training Class is back!
Led by U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) regulators and other industry professionals, this foundational training program covers all aspects of operating and managing a licensed SBIC fund during its investment lifecycle in compliance with SBA regulations and reporting obligations. While the course curriculumis designed principally for new SBIC licensees, those new to an SBIC fund, and funds in formation, existing SBIC fund managers and industry professionals will also benefit from this comprehensive review.
The day-long class includes refreshed modules based on revised SBIC program regulations that introduced new license categories (e.g., Accrual Debentures, Reinvestor SBICs), and will provide attendees with an introduction to the SBIC program and help those new to the program understand key terms and sources of funds, identify conflicts of interest, consider how to qualify and structure an investment, and learn how to manage an SBIC. Attendee questions and discussion will be encouraged. For more information on the SBIC Regulations Training Class, please contact us at events@sbia.org.
*Please note, seats are limited and participation is capped at 2 participants per firm.
