Kelly Loeffler Confirmed to Lead the Small Business Administration
SBIA Applauds Senate Confirmation of Kelly Loeffler as SBA Administrator
February 19, 2025 (Washington, D.C.) –Today, the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA), the association representing America’s small business investors, applauded the confirmation of former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler to lead the U.S. Small Business Administration.
“Former Senator Kelly Loeffler’s successful background as a business owner and entrepreneur, combined with her dedication to public service, will make her an outstanding SBA Administrator,” said SBIA President Brett Palmer. “Small business owners are more optimistic than they have been for years thanks to the Trump administration’s America First agenda. By harnessing the tools available at SBA, including the Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) program, the administration can get more private capital into the hands of small business owners who are eager to grow and create new American jobs.”
Since 1958, SBIA has been a close partner with the SBA to promote small business growth, capital access, job creation, and entrepreneurship. This partnership has empowered companies like Federal Express, Apple, Intel, Tesla, and many others to grow from small businesses into icons of American industry and ingenuity.
Palmer continued, “With Loeffler at the helm of SBA, U.S. small businesses will have a champion who fights for them and takes on foreign adversaries bent on challenging U.S. dominance in the global economy. SBIA stands ready to work with the Loeffler SBA and the Trump administration to advance our shared goals of reshoring jobs, revitalizing investment, renewing the American Dream, and reinforcing our role as the world’s economic engine.”
